🌌 The Future of Quantum Galaxies: Welcome to Galactic Skies!

Hello everyone,

I am sure many of you have seen and read the recent news regarding Quantum Galaxies. Magnum (our previous Owner) has made the decision to step down from the server and has officially passed the torch to me.

Moving forward, I will be taking over as the new Owner. I’m incredibly excited to lead this next chapter alongside Ismet, who has already put in an immense amount of work behind the scenes—especially with the launch of Quantum Galaxies.

🚀 Rebranding?? What?? Why??

With a new leadership team comes a fresh vision. We have made the decision to officially rebrand the network under a new name: Galactic Skies (GS).

As time went on, we realized that the server had naturally evolved into something entirely its own—it really isn't the old "QG" anymore. However, we didn't want to completely lose our roots or the memories we all made there. Galactic Skies allows us to keep that classic galaxy theme alive while forging our own unique path forward.

Additionally, Wolve (the original QG owner) is taking the original server back to run it as a dedicated community hangout space. This is completely understandable, as she was instrumental in making this community happen in the first place, and we wish her nothing but the best!

💬 The New Discord & Community Transition

Because the old spaces are transitioning, a brand-new Discord server is officially in the works!

We are building this new community hub from the ground up to support Galactic Skies. It will feature:

• Dedicated channels for sneak peeks and server suggestions.

• Better support ticket systems to help you faster.

• Community spaces to hang out, share clips, and chat with the staff.

The invite link will be released very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. We want everyone to pile in on day one so we can get the community vibe right back to where it belongs!

🛠️ Server News & Technical Upgrades

We aren't just changing the name; we are completely overhauling the backbone of the server to give you a much smoother, lag-free experience.

• The Velocity Network: We have successfully migrated to a Velocity network. Instead of everything running on one crowded server, we now host multiple servers across dedicated hardware. This means our resource-heavy Survival world gets its own dedicated power, and we have entirely separate, lag-free storage for events!

• Survival Upgrading to 26.1.2: We are officially bringing Survival up to the latest Minecraft standards to support tons of amazing new features and updates. This was long overdue, and we figured it was the perfect time to do it while moving the files over.

• Skyblock is Coming: Thanks to the new Velocity setup, we are finally planning to launch a fully featured Skyblock gamemode in the near future!

• Why is it taking a bit? Because we are jumping to a newer version of Minecraft and moving to a network format, many of our old plugins are incompatible. We are carefully recoding, updating, and replacing these plugins so nothing breaks when you log in. We appreciate your patience while we perfect the transfer!

We hope you stick with us through this transition. The team is working around the clock, and we absolutely cannot wait to show you what the future of Galactic Skies looks like.
